REQUESTING REMOVAL (of some or all bins)

Councillor Comment
Paul Ainslie "I'm not happy with them, and glad to see them go."
Sandra Bussin Initially told Town Crier that she wasn't going to, but resident Joe Clark has been assured "Councillor Bussin has decided that she would like the Eucan megabins removed from Ward 32 based on constituent responses."

"...will remove the bins once staff confirm that they have an adequate number of replacement bins on hand to ensure sufficient garbage collection in her ward."

KEEPING THEIR BINS

Councillor Comment
Brian Ashton

Mike Del Grande
councillor_delgrande@toronto.ca
"No one from the ward has complained so I do not see any need to remove."
Denzil Minan-Wong
councillor_minnan-wong@toronto.ca
...hasn't responded, but told the Town Crier "People need a place to put their garbage so as long as they are serving a useful purpose I don't see any reason to remove them," said Minnan-Wong.
Joe Pantalone
councillor_pantalone@toronto.ca
"I believe it is not appropriate for City Councillors…to override the overall intent of Council's decision to keep bins generally in place."
Jane Pitfield
councillor_pitfield@toronto.ca
...hasn't bothered to respond either, but told the Town Crier "I don't see them as an issue in suburban parts of the city."
Suzan Hall
councillor_hall@toronto.ca
"In my ward there is a great need for bins to assist in keeping the community clean. As well, public space in Ward 1 can accomodate the bins without too much intrusion. My staff plan to survey residents in areas where the bins are located to get their opinion before I make a final decision." *(probably)

Called us to say that her BIAs want them to stay, so they're probably staying, but wanted us to send her our photos.
