| "I
have visited these ads and they are translucent. They do not pose
a safety concern or vision hazard for vehicular or pedestrian traffic."
- City of Toronto staff member with Transportation Services. |
These photos
are unaltered.
They were shot on an SLR film camera and scanned.
No filters or digital alterations were used.

Where we come from,
this is called "opaque"

Ads blocking ads. Definitely
not transparent.

All you can see here
is the reflection of the cars and stores on the right.

A picture is worth
a thousand words.

Where did the building
go? No vision hazard here.

| The
iPod ads have been the target of unprecedented vandalism. As soon
as they were installed, people began ripping them down. While the
TPSC does not condone vandalism, in this case we support these acts
as civilian enforcement of regulations that Toronto staff are ignoring.
After all, these ads shouldn't be there in the first place. They are
esentially pieces of litter left behind by Viacom. And the Mayor has
asked everyone to pick up litter. |
