Allison Yan
Allison is a digital product designer by trade and a public space and transit enthusiast, with a background in psychology, computer science and health technology. She believes that all of us deserve to have accessible places and to go about our business surrounded by beauty.

Cara Chellew
Cara Chellew (she/her) is a PhD Candidate in Urban Planning, Policy & Design at McGill University. Her research focuses on the planning, design, and governance of public space. She is the founder of DefensiveTO, a multimedia project documenting defensive/hostile urbanism in Toronto and beyond. Her work has been published in the Canadian Journal of Urban Research, Spacing Magazine, and Azure.

Holli Butrimas
Holli is a graduate of the Toronto Metropolitan University Urban Planning program and is currently working as an urban planner in Toronto. She has a passion for how disability impacts experience of the public realm, and currently volunteers for several disability justice mutual aid organizations in the city.

Ramsey Leung
Ramsey (he/him) is an architect rethinking the built environment through circularity, participatory design, and regenerative urbanism. With a background spanning healthcare, environmental studies, forest biomaterials, and public places, he explores architecture as a medium for relationships. Currently a caregiver on a break from traditional practice, Ramsey is reflecting on how design can nurture and enfold impermanence, care, and life’s unseen rhythms.

Car Martin
Car is an architect who leads Cyan Station, an architecture and design studio focused on working with buildings, people, and communities to reimagine the ordinary. The Cyan dream is to redesign the basic building blocks of our cities and make architecture accessible to everyone.

David Simor
David (he/his) is Director of The Center for Active Transportation, a nonprofit committed to creating safer streets for walking and riding bikes. He has a decade of project management experience specific to sustainable mobility, workshop design and facilitation, community engagement, and inclusive public spaces. As a founding member of Open Streets TO, David played a key role in the creation of Canada’s largest free outdoor recreational program that temporarily opens streets to people by closing them to cars. Trained as an actor, David firmly believes listening is the key to building equitable and vibrant public spaces.

Jessie Ye
Jessie (she/her) is a graduate student at the University of Toronto currently pursuing a Master of Science in Planning. She has a keen interest in public spaces, community engagement, and active transit. She co-founded an art initiative called Designs for a Difference and sits on the steering committee of the Toronto Community Bikeways Coalition. As an avid runner and cyclist, she can often be found exploring the city on two feet or two wheels.

Raphaella Valeri
Raphaella (she/her) is an advocate for people-focused, creative city planning. Raphaella’s training in classical ballet and modern dance led her to pursue an Arts Management and Administration undergrad at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Post graduation, Raphaella has worked as a designer, researcher, and arts administrator. She has combined her arts background with her passion for better city planning, playful urban spaces, and public art. Raphaella advocates for accessible public amenities as co-founder of Public Washrooms TO. Additionally, Raphaella is an active volunteer with the Toronto Public Space Committee and has contributed to the development of TO the Loo! Toronto Toilet Design Challenge. She is currently completing a Masters of Planning at TMU.
